Where the wild things grow

Wildflowers are prolific in the Koorda Shire through the months of August and September, with the Koorda Rose (pictured below) flowering mainly in the latter part of the season.

With the assistance of the Koorda Shire Council, Royalties for Regions and the Koorda Men’s Shed, most reserves now have a gazebo, barbeque, seating and eco toilets for visitors use. Pathways have also been cleared at the

Wildflower Park for visitors to walk along.

Only take photos and memories home, picking of wildflowers is prohibited.

Only leave your footprints behind.

There are also natural reserves throughout the shire where wildflowers can be seen in their natural environment, please contact the Koorda Shire Council or the Koorda CRC for directions.
